My name is Edith Trevino. I am a college student working towards a MASTERS in technology. ADDIE is a instructional design model that is used to help students have a better understanding in what they are learning. This can provide a guideline for developing instructions to help students understand.

Simplify Work With ADDIE

The ADDIE model stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. It is the process that carefully considers all of the elements leading to the best results. Who can use ADDIE? Instructors, instructional design and training specialist are a few that can use ADDIE.

The good thing with ADDIE is that you can use it any work field area. The ADDIE model has five phases and is broken down so it can help and guide you to be the best when delivering your content. The ADDIE consist of: Analysis Phase, Design Phase, Development Phase and Implement Phase .

ON the Analysis Phase, you need to figure out your goals and your objective. Who are you teaching, are they students, teachers, coworker or medical workers?  What are your goals you trying to achieve? What level of content you need to have so you can share ? With that in mind you can have a clear understanding to achieve your instructional goal.

#1 Analysis Phase

Analysis Phase is defining your goal, this could be to whoever you trying to teach. For example, if I am teaching a baking class and my learner wants to learn how to make a cake, I would have to figure out what kind a cake to bake because there are different types of cake. Once I figure out the define goal, which is to make a chocolate cake it’s basically identifying the problem and solution. Once you’ve done that you can start your Instructional Analysis, which you will write all the steps that are necessary to carry out the instructional goal. Then you will analyze the learner by determining how much the learner knows, this will depend where you need to start. By the time students finished they should be able to describe, demonstrate, show and explain the process of making the cake.

#2 Design Phase

When it comes to the Design Phase you need to plan the design assessment. Choose a course format in a classroom setting, computer setting ect. Create an instructional strategy, have lectures, reading discussion, projects, worksheets, and assessment. Motivating your students by given them feedback is important.

#3 Development Phase

The development phase will be the blue print you need to create samples. Develop the course materials and conduct a run through. Some examples could be a video or picture with strategies. You can also review with the learner for any suggestions.

#4 Implementation Phase

On this phase the instructors sometimes need to train. Instructors will train so they can prepare the learners. Before you start, it will be vital to have a learning space ready.

#5 Evaluation Phase Data

This is where you see if you had any problem and if you solve it. You review and collected data and content is revise.
