Digital Literacy is so important right now for student know. The importance of knowing to how to read digital information is curial. “Digital Literacy is when someone has the skills to read and write and the ability to be fluent in the world of digital information” (SREB,2018). But that doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time for student to be digital literacy This is why it is so important for school to teach the student from a very early age to learn how to be digital literacy. According to the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB,2018) digital literacy competencies must become an everyday part of the learning experience of school children; these skills should be integrated into instruction at all levels. I strongly believe that the school system should prepare our student when it comes to technology and add it the curriculum. I believe it’s not enough for the student to just have cool math or play kahoot. I believe if the school starts to introduce a computer class in elementary student will learn the computer concept, keyboard and learn internet safety. I think that is a pretty neat idea because that way by the time students go to middle school student are prepare and won’t be afraid even, they see yellow screen in their Microsoft word saying enable. If students are prepared with digital skills and digital literacy, they won’t struggle to much in the digital world. 

When it comes to technology security, technology is something that everyone uses for example the education system business, company ect. Technology security it is so crucial for one to have when using computers. I strongly believe anyone who has accesses to important information should be train to protect the data from begin expose and student as well should also be train when it comes to use of technology.  According to the Southern Regional Education Board “more than 72 percent of IOT (internet of things) devices are hackable and expose risk for unauthorized access to large systems”. This is why it is recommended to use “strong password and change them often, keep a password or pin in all your devices, keep accurate and update data inventories, have a healthy data diet, have safeguards, develop security protocols ect” (SREB,2018).  

I would still love to learn more about digital literacy, technology security so that one day I would be able to show student the importance and the value it would have for them as student and as an adult. Some reference that will help me in the future is provide below .
